Member Subscribe Page Informational Messages

The messages listed below are displayed on the Member Subscribe Page in response to various events. They can be customized by providing appropriate HTML content (or plain-text content, in case no special formatting is required) or using the rich text editor.


  • Welcome Message: This is the message that new subscribers will see when they come to the page to enter their profile information. This message is placed above the form where the new Member will enter his or her profile data. A simple example would be, "Please fill out and submit the member profile form below."
  • Thanks Message*: This is the message that new subscribers will see on the confirmation web-page after submitting the registration form. For example, "Thanks for joining the Main Street Grill eclub!"
Optionally, you can redirect members to a different web page or to another Themed Update Profile page. If you wish to redirect members to a different web page (URL) after they have subscribed, select the "Redirect to URL" option and enter the URL in the input field. If you wish to redirect members to another Themed Update Profile page after they have subscribed, select the "Redirect to Update Profile Page" option and select the Theme name from the dropdown.
  • Exists Message: This is the message that a new subscriber will see if he or she is attempting to join using an e-mail address that is already in the system. For example, "We're sorry. A member with this e-mail already exists. Please use a different e-mail address."
  • Returning Message*: This is the message that an existing Member will see when he or she logs into his or her Profile Update page. An example would be, "Welcome back to the Main Street Grill eclub. Please update your profile below and the click the Save button."
  • Updated Message*: This is the message that an existing Member will see after he or she has submitted his or her updated profile information. For example, "Your profile has been updated."
Optionally, you can redirect members to a different web page or to another Themed Update Profile page. If you wish to redirect members to a different web page (URL) after they have updated their profile, select the "Redirect to URL" option and enter the URL in the input field. If you wish to redirect members to another Themed Update Profile page after they have updated their profile, select the "Redirect to Update Profile Page" option and select the Theme name from the dropdown.
  • Deleted Message: This is the message that an existing Member will see after clicking on a "Delete Profile" hyperlink. For example, "Your profile has been permanently deleted from the Main Street Grill eclub. If at any time you wish to resubscribe, please visit our <a href="##_Subscribe_##">Member Subscribe Page</a>."
  • Unsubscribe (Single List) Success Message*: This is the message that an existing Member receives after clicking on an "Unsubscribe (Current List)" hyperlink. For example, "You have been unsubscribed from the mailing list. If you would like to resubscribe or to update your profile information, please <a href="##_Profile_##">click here.</a>."
  • Unsubscribe (All Lists) Success Message*: This is the message that an existing Member receives after clicking on an "Unsubscribe (All Lists)" hyperlink. For example, "You have been unsubscribed from all mailing lists. If you would like to resubscribe or to update your profile information, please <a href="##_Profile_##">click here.</a>".
  • Unsubscribe (Universal) Success Message*: This is the message that an existing Member receives after clicking on an "Unsubscribe (Universal)" hyperlink. For example, "You have been unsubscribed from all mailing lists for Main Street Grill." Unsubscribe (universal)unsubscribes the member from all lists in all associated sites, not just the current site. If you only have one site or if your multiple sites are not associated to allow this functionality to work across your sites, the Unsubscribe (Universal) Success Message will not be visible on this page. If you have multiple sites and are unsure if they are associated to allow use of this functionality, please contact Fishbowl Client Support.
  • Unsubscribe Failure Message*: This is the message that an existing Member receives after clicking on an Unsubscribe hyperlink to unsubscribe from a mailing list to which they are not currently subscribed. For example, "You are not subscribed to the mailing list and thus cannot be unsubscribed. If you would like to resubscribe or update your profile information, please <a href="##_Profile_##">click here.</a>"
